We are having a sale!!!!
Well, here we are again – our Almost Sorta Semi-Annual We-Are-Tired-of-Stuff/ We-Bought-Too-Much-New-Cool-Stuff-and Are-Out-of-Room Sale.
We’ll work on a catchier name.
Here’s how it went down. We went to the Highpoint International Furniture Market, and well, things got crazy. There’s fast talking, perfectly dressed snooty sales people, lots of bright shiny stuff, and cocktails – a toxic combo to say the least. So here we are now – the trucks have rolled in and our showroom has gone from nicely stocked to bursting at the seams, even the warehouses are stuffed. We can’t even move around here. And so, to alleviate the jam and give us some breathing room we decided a sale was in order. Dump some stuff we are tired of, get rid of a few mistakes, and clean house so all the new stuff can come out of hiding. And so here is a list of said items ( victims) and an explanation for its ousting.
Wait though, first, while I have your attention, a couple of rules…these are all final sale. We never want to see them again. Ever. Also, no warranties.
original price – $6590 sale price – $2400
I’ll start with the biggest ones. This is a Cisco Brothers sofa. Slipcovered in a natural washable linen, this long (108″), graceful, deep sofa is one of our favorites…..which, in a way, is why it’s here. It seems we ordered one too many of these. So this one has to get the heck out of here.
original price – $7490 sale price – $3990
This is one of our favorite frames of all time. It’s sort of the mascot on the main page on our blog. This is the 10′ version. It is big. Really big. I know you are wondering why we are dumping one of our favorite best sellers…..Well, the truth is, it has some issues. This is the only thing on the sale that is actually not in perfect shape. Its a little dirty – white stuff doesn’t stay perfectly white for long around here, but a good washing can fix that. The more pressing problem is a 1 inch rip on one side…..It could be stitched up or darned, if you know any darners. No deal killers here. Personally, I could live with it since it means I’d have a long beautiful sofa with squishy down cushions at basically half price….
original price – $3470 sale price – $1999
Here’s a smaller one – Lee Industries calls this an apartment sofa, which means its small scale, not a loveseat…just a small sofa, not terribly deep. An apt name really. It’s slipcovered in a blue cotton, a NOT washable blue cotton. Down cushioning. Why are we selling it? It’s been here for a bit and we ordered a fresh version.
original price – $2990 sale price – $1200
This is a great frame. A Cisco Brothers wingback-ish chair. Its tall, but has a relatively small footprint considering it’s presence. It’s back sort of hugs you when you sit in it. It’s slipcovered in a cotton blend pinstripe. It found itself on the list because it’s been around a while, although I don’t understand why – it’s perfect. Seems like it is leftover from a pair…you know how we feel about pair-breaking.
original price – $1290 sale price – $800
This wingback is also the victim of pair breaking, but it’s friend was lost to natural disaster – a storm to be exact. This chair was the survivor – It was left untouched, so it is in great shape and ready to go. We try and keep a pair of these around. And for what it’s worth, they are more of a pretty chair – not so much a comfy chair. Burlap back, cotton/linen front, grey-washed finish legs with casters.
original price – $1690 sale price – $999
This one is upholstered in a pretty blue linen. It has an exposed frame that’s a driftwood type finish. Pretty, right? No, I hate this chair, but I’m the only one. Everyone else loves it, but I write the blog, so it’s going on the sale. Don’t tell.
original price – $1290 sale price – $800
This is one of our original creations. A queen size headboard upholstered in one of our vintage hemp rugs. We love this bed. I don’t know why you haven’t bought it yet. It’s so cool. This is for the headboard only, no side rails, footboard or frame.
original price – $3590 each (I know.) sale price – $990 each (I know!!!)
These are great chairs – for many reasons. Beautiful washable heavy belgian linen covers. The frames are graceful. Beautiful architecture. And these chairs are fully green, not green green, but environment green – the frame and the filling. The problem….the depth and the pitch. Think dental exam. But it’s nothing an extra throw pillow wouldn’t fix.
original price – $1590 sale – $799
This is a super comfy swivel chair. Upholstered in a neutral cotton with contrast white piping. We like this chair. But with the white piping we are worried it’s going to get dirty around here if it sits here too long. It already has a smudge or two. We just can’t have nice things.
original price – $1690 sale price – $799
A classic white slipcovered swivel glider. It has a washable slipcover and is super comfy. It has a grey contrast stitching that keeps it from being too plain. It’s been here a while and it’s white, so we want it out before we have to wash it. We just can’t have nice things. Really.
original price – $1999 per pair sale price – $599 per pair
These are really cool dining chairs. They are upholstered in a grey and black printed linen. It’s a long story. We don’t need to go into details about them. There were many parties involved. But the reality is they are here, and we don’t want them here any longer. We are selling them in pairs. You may buy 2, 4 or all 6.
original price – $1699 each sale price – $799 each
Someone around here kinda went crazy buying dressers. We have dressers everywhere. Way too many. So, we took a vote and this pair of dressers lost….or won, I’m not sure which. They are a little more modern-ish looking – maybe a modern take on a traditional design. Marble top, bow front. The drawers have a little texture to them.
original price – $349 sale price – $149
We have two items in the category – Where In The Heck Did These Things Come From. The first is this gold, tripod lamp. No one remembers ordering it, but we were too lazy to send it back, so here it sits. Please buy it.
original price – $899 each sale price – $300 each
And here’s the other one – or actually other two. We have a pair of these mirrors that mysteriously appeared at our dock door. No one knows why we have them, and so, we are dumping them. They have a black stain with silver leaf trim. The mirror is nicely antiqued. Please buy them.
Is the white, lonely chair (white/burlap) from Lee?

Sorry, I missed your comment. No, it is not Lee Industries. We do still have it though:)
Hi, by any chance is the round dining table shown with the chairs on sale and what is the dimension? Thanks

No, unfortunately not:) That is one of our one-of-kind steel industrial tables made by a local artist.
