Deal of the Week! SOLD!!!

I know. You’re shocked. A Deal of the Week two weeks in a row. We really are trying.

This week is kind of exciting. First because of what we are unloading, and second because of the implications of what we are unloading.

First the deal – one of our vintage rugs!! This rarely happens. We love and cherish our rugs and we don’t like parting with them. They have each been lovingly hand-picked. This one is no exception…mostly. Okay, well, it’s not our favorite anymore. We’ve had it for quite a while, so though it is pretty, we are kind of tired of having it around. It’s kind of like a 30 year old child still living in your basement. You love them, it’s been a pleasure living with them for so long, but when you’re honest with yourself, you really are ready for them to move on….

This rug is a good size – small room sized. It has a good pattern. It has fantastic, beautiful wear. Something we love to see on an old rug. It has muted colors, but it’s not a neutral for sure. The most prominent colors are an olive-y green, a dusty coral-ish sorta pink-but-not-too-pink color, and a warm coffee-with-cream kinda color. I took Color Theory in college – these color names are so advanced they were not even covered. That’s right folks, you are witnessing PhD level color naming.

Now what does the ousting of this rug mean? Well, it’s very exciting! Rug day is coming!!! We just returned from our bi-annual-ish vintage rug buying trip, so our store is getting a rather large supply of old rugs very soon! Anyway, we need to make some room. So out with the old, and in with…well,…the old.
