It’s a Sale!

Hey. Listen up. This is exciting news. We are having a sale.

Sometimes we just get so much stuff in that we just run out of room. Now, we haven’t actually reached that critical mass point quite yet, but it is imminent. So in an effort to keep from busting at the seams in the coming weeks, we decided that a sale was in order.

These items below are not things we hate, not things we are tired of, not things that are damaged. This is good stuff. Really good stuff. And the really good thing about this really good stuff is that you, our loyal blog followers, get to hear about it first. In fact, many of these prices are just here on the blog – not written on the tag in the store…yet.

So, here ya go – Simple Things Semi-Annual / Because-We-Are-Out-Of-Room Sale.

IMG_4124  First up, a french roll back chair. Upholstered in linen. Beautiful lines. Perfect in a bedroom, formal room, or anywhere you need a pretty chair. 32″ w, 25″d, 31″h.

original price – $1390   sale price – $500

English arm sofa, beautifully upholstered in a blue grey belgian linen. And look! – it has a little contrast band on the skirt. This sofa is remarkably comfy because of the down seats and back. This, my friends, is one nice sofa.

original price – $4490   sale price – $1990

Okay, for you hipsters out there- Here’s a great looking side chair with an exposed frame. It’s maple with a driftwood finish. The pewter nailhead trim makes it even cooler. 25″w, 28″d, 35″h

original price – $1585   sale price – $750

Here’s the only ottoman in the sale. It’s is a lightly tufted, blue-ish grey-ish green-ish leather – “mineral” is the official color name. Really beautiful leather – one might call it supple if one used words like supple. It is topstitched – something we have a little weakness for around here. The tapered legs have a nice grey washed finish. You might say this bench is a little modern, cool modern, Madmen modern – Don Draper would definitely like it. 59″w, 27″d, 19″h

original price – $1990   sale price – $690

This is a slipcovered swivel glider with an english arm and down seat and back – in other words, a remarkably comfortable chair.  Washable cotton in a “cheery” color – maybe a little too “cheery” for Simple Things, but perfect for a bedroom, nursery, or, if you lean that way, a “cheery” living room (no judgement.) 31w, 41″d,38″h

original price – $1890   sale price – $890

Another sofa! We love this frame – down seat and back cushions, upholstered in a super soft cotton velvet. This thing is 1940’s Hollywood cool. Marilyn sat on this. Not really.  84″w, 38″d, 35″h

original price – $4190   sale price – $1500

Okay, this is huge, because we never ever ever put these on sale. But, we went a little crazy with the steel this go round. So, here is one of our industrial dining tables.  The blue-grey steel top is aged to perfection and sealed with a slight sheen. Best part? It sits atop a wicked cool salvaged 1920s riveted metal base – this is heavy metal – Ozzy heavy. It is a big boy too.  84″x 48″

original price –  $3990  sale price – $2750

Image-1-1 Talk of dining tables leads me to these dining chairs. Don’t ask why we have these.  A long and winding story of a designer and client that broke up and these were in the crossfire!  They have a 1950’s danish modern thing goin’ on. They are upholstered in a soft green washed canvas. We have several of these guys – some have exposed seams or patches that make them unique and give them a relaxed look. You could use them at a desk or dining table.

original price – $399 each   sale price – $99 each

Dumb price. Buy these.

We love a swivel chair, and this is a great one. An elegant chair – Park Avenue elegant, with a sweeping arm. Waterfall style skirt. Upholstered in a grey-brown belgian linen. Down back. 30″w, 39″d, 33″h

original price – $2270   sale price – $750

Last but not least, a cotton velvet tuxedo sofa. Tufted back. Down filled bench style cushion. Clean lines on a classic frame. Put it in a library, an office, a formal living room, or funk it up – in other words, it’s a versatile style. Its only fault is a chip on one of its legs – but not a bad one, not a deal breaker. 84″w, 34″d, 33″h

original price – $3175   sale price – $900

Okay, it’s a wrap. I recommend, if your interest is peaked that is, that you head on in. The sale items tend to walk out of here pretty quick.
